I'm 29, happily married, a new paramedic, and as you can probly tell, I'm a nerd too (hence all the HTML embellishments. Lol!). And proud of it! I'm an A+ certified (nerds know what I mean), CNAP grad. All that means is: I can build PCs from scratch, network 'em with a lil Cat 5e and some RJ-45s, troubleshoot 'em from DOS to Windows... and then play games on 'em!Then, when I'm not doing that, I'm riding in an ambulance. I've been an EMT-B for just right at 2 years now, serving my local community, and loving it. I just moved up to the next level of EMT-P -- PARAMEDIC -- Woo-hoo! This is the best job I've ever had. Don't get me wrong though: this job is tough sometimes: You gotta like getting run outta bed at 3 AM for the fifth time to the same house for the same "I feel like I'm gonna puke..." complaint. You have to be able to do CPR on someone's lil child, knowing in your heart that you'll never get her back, hoping you're wrong this time, and pouring every ounce of your soul into your efforts to revive her... that's an EMT's life.You might wonder what on Earth keeps me sane (or a reasonable facsimile of it) doing what I do. I'll tell ya anyway: My wife. She is the reason to get up, the one the sun and moon set on, the one that brings every good thing to my life. I wouldn't be where I am or what I am today without her. She is the one thing I look forward to the most about getting home from work. If we're not snuggling in the warmth of our bed, we're walking our dog, or driving somewhere -- whatever we do -- and having a blast together! She's the best friend I've ever known. And she's freaking hot too! I love her with all I am, have, and ever will be or have.
