So, I'm a lesbian. My partner and I just had a commitment ceremony a year ago. We live in a little town in East Texas, not far from Houston. I'm a musician and a writer. I play the piano and harp, and sing, and write mostly in the Sciencefiction-Fantasy genre. My partner's a funeral director and apprentice embalmer at a local funeral home. There is a little gay church here in tiny-town-middle of nowhere's-ville, and we are pretty active there. It's pretty much the only thing to do. This is my first experience living in a small town, and I'm still in big culture shock. I never realized that there were so many narrow minded people until I moved to a small town. Lots of predjudism, and I'm not used to it yet. I don't know that it's really the place for me, but it's where I am right now.
