As you grow older you realize there is more to life than just a pretty face. It's more about what a person has to offer and what is in their heart. My mom always said to me, "Laurie beauty doesn't last forever",so once you eat the frosting on the cake how good is the inside? That's what counts! 9 out of 10 times when the outside is amazing the inside taste like ----! I've been very fortunate in my life to have loved several times, but we all have a story to tell of every relationship(good or bad).I just moved back to Chgo. after living in NY for almost 12 years and it would be nice to just find the one! But, being in a relationship at our age is somewhat hard but yet comfortable. We know what we want and we don't hold back (no games) at least that's how I am. For me, It's all about the little things in life that make me SO happy! I am very simple. I love to just be in the moment sometimes and appreciate what we have. To me a relationship is about trust, compassion, honesty, laughter, happiness, growth, learning, understanding one anothers needs, a certain comfort level,and of cousrse just being. I enjoy loving someone, but most of all I just want someone to love me for me, not for how thay can change me and mold me to their liking. You may think this sounds cheesy, but I'm just being honest, that's what life is all about. As long as you can make me smile and make my heart skip a beat(sometimes) I am willing to see what can develop.I enjoy cooking(it relaxes me) reading, listening to music, laying by a fire watching movies, walks on the beach, mostly anything that makes me or my partner happy! I am willing to try just about anything. I like to be spontaneous, if you will, in the moment.Life is to short, so just go after what you want, and if it's meant to be it will. No pressure no expectations. Just be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
