.hov:hover{background-color:yellow}Watch Video:Avenged Sevenfold - Beast & The HarlotMusic Video Codes By WebCodez.com!About me? Hmm…well, the name’s Hans. I hate that name. I’m an Atheist. Your “God” is not real, simple as that, I will, however, give an explonation as to why I’m Atheist later in this section. I read a lot. My favorite authors are, but not limited to; Anne Rice, Anne Rice, Anne Rice, Anne Rice, etc… Here’s a list of adjectives of things I am NOT; hackneyed, haughty, foolish, misinformed, diligent, wary, tactful, subtle, superficial, pretentious, surreptitious, rancorous, or querulous. And now here’s a list of things I am; submissive, demure, caring, prudent, perfidious, nonchalant, intrepid, circuitous, and genial. I’m done talking about myself now. Leave me a blog comment!!! And now the tantalizing wait is over; you’ll soon know why I’m Atheist! How lucky you are. Life is a gift to all of us. And yet, when one is an atheist, they are sometimes bothered by perhaps well meaning but nevertheless annoying theists, who accuse them of not caring about the life of anyone or anything. It's an odd reaction, because for the atheist, this life is it. In our view, we humans get a few decades on average, a tiny arc of consciousness across the infinite ocean of space-time, a blink of the cosmic eye, in which the universe can be uniquely aware of itself through each of us. And accepting that there is likely nothing afterward, nothing but the comforting non-existence that preceded conception makes this time far more precious to the atheist, than many theists seem willing to contemplate. And please, if you’re going to message or comment me to debate try and limit any long-winded philosophical explanations of why your particular deity or supernatural claim is untestable or perfectly resembles one that does not exist; if it cannot be tested and happens to perfectly imitate one that does not exist, skeptics are not going to buy it. Same for excuses that the magic doesn't work when a skeptic is present with a camcorder. It doesn't matter, even if it's written in a book that it worked once upon a time. Same for demanding I prove your magic wizard/dragon/powers/sea monster/pantheon doesn't exist or 'you win'. This is for your own good: You don't win anything outside of exposing yourself as logically clueless. There is so much in the Bible (And the Quran and everything else) that makes no sense, it's pretty hard to pick a place to begin. I suppose a good enough place would be the beginning of the book: It makes no sense to create some kind of paradise in which man and woman have no inkling of right and wrong, and then hold them responsible for doing something wrong. It makes no sense to hold their descendants for all time responsible for them doing something wrong even if they did in fact have some mysterious way of determining right and wrong prior to being taught how to distinguish right from wrong. And let me also point out another thing: your “God” can’t be morally superior! To be morally superior he/she/it would have to feel love, hate, anguish, any emotions that we, as humans, feel. Incidentally, that completely contradicts the basis for Christian belief. Theists often claim that their gods are perfect beings; they describe gods, however, in contradictory and incoherent ways. Numerous characteristics are attributed to their gods, some of which are impossible and some combinations of which are impossible. As described, it's unlikely or impossible for these gods to exist. This doesn't mean that no god could possibly exist, just that the ones theists claim to believe in don't. No religion is perfectly consistent when it comes to doctrines, ideas, and history. Every ideology, philosophy, and cultural tradition has inconsistencies and contradictions, so this shouldn't be surprising — but other ideologies and traditions aren't alleged to be divinely created or divinely sanctioned systems for following the wishes of a god. The state of religion in the world today is more consistent with the premise that they are man-made institutions. That’s all….hahaha! Hope you enjoyed the read. I could go on….and on…and on…but I’m not going to.
